About Me

Adam Nisenson

Hi, I'm Adam Nisenson

I am a Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations student at The Pennsylvania State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science through the College of Information Sciences and Technology. I am interested in cybersecurity, software development, and data analytics, with a focus on building practical technical skills through coursework, projects, and hands-on experience.

My experience combines cybersecurity and software development. I have worked as a Cyber CTF Development Intern with the New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell, where I helped create, test, troubleshoot, and improve Capture the Flag challenges for JerseyCTF. I also have several years of experience designing and developing websites for clients using technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCSS, Bootstrap, and Figma.

At Penn State, I continue to expand my technical and collaborative experience through campus organizations and academic projects. I am a member of the Competitive Cyber Security Organization (CCSO), where I participate in offensive and defensive cybersecurity workshops. I am also involved with the Sports Analytics Club, where I work with real-world datasets and coding projects, and Pillar PSU, where I volunteer in support of THON.

I currently work as a Learning Assistant for Introduction to Application Development at Penn State, where I assist students with programming coursework, troubleshoot technical issues, grade assignments, and collaborate with professors and other Learning Assistants. This experience has strengthened both my technical knowledge and my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

I am continuing to build my skills in Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, VMware, MySQL Workbench, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub, and other development and cybersecurity tools. I am interested in opportunities where I can apply these skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful technology and cybersecurity projects.

Outside of academics and technology, I enjoy playing golf, following New York sports, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy exploring interests in sports analytics and technology outside of the classroom.
